Polyether-ether-ketone (PEEK) is a colorless organic thermoplastic polymer in the polyaryl ether ketone (PAEK) series, which is used in engineering applications.                                                                                    

 

Material properties:
PEEK contains many benzene rings in its molecular structure and shows excellent comprehensive properties.
PEEK is very strong in γ radiation resistance, stronger than that of polystyrene in common resin. It can be made into high-performance wiring and still provide good insulating capacity even when γ irradiation dose is 1100Mrad.
PEEK has excellent chemical resistance and can only be dissolved or destroyed with concentrated sulfuric acid for ordinary chemicals and its corrosion resistance is similar to that of steel and nickel.
PEEK has excellent fatigue resistance among all resins.
PEEK is a kind of plastic that makes balance between toughness and rigidity. In particular, it has excellent resistance to alternating stress fatigue and is comparable to alloys.
PEEK and its composites will not be chemically affected by water and high-pressure steam. The product made of this material may maintain excellent performance at the time of being continuously used in high-temperature and high-pressure water.
PEEK has good peeling resistance; And thus, it can be made into thin wire or electromagnetic wire coating, and can be used under harsh conditions.
PEEK is a very stable polymer. 1.45-mm-thickness sample can meet the highest standard of non-combustibility without adding any flame retardant.
PEEK has excellent sliding properties among all plastics and meets the strict requirements of low friction coefficient and friction resistance. In particular, the self-lubricating performance of PEEK may become better if mixed with carbon fiber and graphite according to their respective proportions for modification.
PEEK has a higher glass-transition temperature and melting point (334ºC). This is one of the reasons why it can be used reliably for thermal demand. Its thermal load variable temperature can be 316ºC, and can be continuously used at the temperature of 260ºC.
